Well, I'm not much of a writer anymore so maybe this will improve my writing skills. I will just dive in and start with the downs of my week, so I can end on a high note :) !
I really hated to see my sweet Elise and Amanda go home! They were such a joy to spend time with. My grandbaby is the sweetest, prettiest, and best grand baby in all the world! Of course all of my grandchildren will be! Amanda, it was so much fun to just visit. I love you.
I felt really sad to see my dear friend Shelly so ill. I pray all my children will be blessed with a friend like her.
Now for the highs! I have a beautiful and healthy and faithful family which I always count as one of my greatest blessings! I was so blessed to see my first born sealed in the Logan temple to a lovely and worthy young woman who we are so thrilled to welcome into our family. I know this is not last weeks news but I just couldn't write anything until I rejoiced over this great blessing!
I have a healthy granddaughter who is blessed with wonderful parents. I love you D.J.! I know it was a real sacrifice to send your sweet girls to us. We really missed you and we hope to spend time with you soon.

High- Elise and I got to visit the ranch for over a week! Some highlights: attending Katie and Dan's wedding reception, watching Brittany get her driver's license, bottling pears with all the girls, and showing off the baby!
Low- Even though Elise did amazingly well, flying with an infant is stressful! I'd say the low point was landing in Indianapolis and trying to locate our shuttle home while my hungry baby's screams echoed through the terminal. AAAAHHHH!! We're still trying to recover from the jet lag. Also, I missed D.J. sooo much!! It's no fun being apart!
Ashley
High- Setting [my roommate] Petra up with one of my friends. They seem to be hitting it off pretty well. If they get married I'm getting the first born. Haha!
Low- Doing laundry and homework on a Friday night. Some random guy stopped by and talked to me for over an hour. I think it was out of pity. I would feel bad for myself too.
Tiffany
High- I love school! My roommates are the absolute best! Everynight we say prayer and hug eachother goodnight! So cute! I also loved how Dan called Taylor and i answered...he didn't know who i was. It was quite hilarious. I also went to the dunes...Then we did the temple to temple run! and it was GREAT!
Low- I HATE..no no no.. LOATHE my math class. I am trying to force myself to not hang out with boys so much that i know i'm not gunna date...so thats a little difficult...and still don't know my major. Its starting to stress me out! AND... ( makes it sound like im having a bad time, but im really not... life is good :) i need to find a job!
Elise
High- When you have seven aunts and uncles and you're the only grandchild to "baby-hungry" grandparents, life can't get much better. I am now accustomed to being held, loved, cooed-at, and rocked 24-7 (much to the chagrin of my parents).
Low- When it's time for me to eat, I have no patience for delays. Who cares if the plane is boarding or if our luggage is coming on the baggage claim? I'M HUNGRY! Why doesn't my mother understand this?

D.J., Amanda & Elise
D.J.'s high:
My new church calling is neither stressful nor time-consuming. I'm the Physical Facilities Coordinator. This means I organize who is cleaning the church building on a weekly basis and give them the key to get in. I guess being a busy MBA student has its perks!
D.J's low:

Amanda's low(s):
1) Not being at the temple for Dan and Katie's sealing. Blast Elise's pediatrician! However, an infant's susceptibility to viruses (specifically to scary things like H1N1--yikes) lowers as they get older, so Elise and I are excited to fly out to the ranch for the reception in a couple of weeks.
2) D.J.'s school schedule=blech!! 17-hour days at school are not fun-for the student or the spouse!
Amanda's high:
Talking to Tiffany for almost 6 hours in a two-day period while we tried to buy her laptop. It's amazing companies can get away with that much hold time, but luckily we had each other and the ability to conference call! Also, did you know the security code on your debit card can actually rub off--making it almost impossible to purchase anything? Needless to say, I had a great time talking to my sister. That girl--ha!
Elise's high:
Sitting in my fancy bouncy chair after eating. Who wouldn't like to drift to sleep in a vibrating massage chair with a full tummy while listening to a nice lullaby?
Elise's low:
Every time I have boogie, my mom comes at me with that stupid aspirator thing to suck it out of my nose. I can't stand it!

Dan and Katie
Dan and Katie's obvious high for this week was their wedding on Saturday (the 29th) in the Logan Temple. They couldn't be happier together! Katie posted the following on Facebook: "This joy I have---the world didn`t give it, the world can`t take it away." __Shirley Caesar, gospel singer
Ashley's highs and lows
My high was seeing how happy Dan and Katie were at the wedding and seeing how they are so good together. It was awesome.
My low...dealing with all the well meaning family members asking me those stinking questions: "where's your guy?" "Who's that boy you're sitting next to?" "What's wrong with all the boys up in Idaho?" "How do you let a boy know you like him?"(this one wasn't asking for advice, I think they were worried about me) and my most favorite one..."Are there any good optometrists in Rexburg? Because all the boys must be blind up there." (that was Uncle Mike) there were more but it would take way too long to type them all up. Basically, I was almost to the point of telling everyone I had given up on men and decided to take up Catholicism and become a nun.
